"About 3 years ago, I decided to get very serious about my family's health
and happiness. I wanted to find fresh, local, organic meats that were going
to nourish my family. I also wanted my growing boys to know where their
food came from and that they were eating animals raised ethically. After
searching many farms throughout Washington, I went to Skagit River Ranch and
spoke with George and Eiko. They were extremely knowledgeable famers that
had a jaw-droppingly beautiful farm. Their animals were healthy, happy and
flourishing. I knew this was the place to buy my food. I knew even more
after I started eating their food! Our family exclusively buys our beef,
pork and eggs from SRR for the last 2 years and we've never been healthier
and happier. Just recently, my wife and I had a full medical examination
for life insurance. We both qualified amongst the healthiest top 2% in the
nation. We eat lots of bacon and eggs and our cholesterol, blood pressure
and other bio-markers for health and disease have never been better. Our
pediatrician, friends and family always comment how healthy, happy and
energetic our 2 boys are. All of this is possible because of the awesome,

My name is Dr. Gary and I am a chiropractor here in Seattle who shops at the Ballard Farmer's Market on Sunday mornings. My routine is always the same. I show up at the market, usually 30 - 45 minutes before it opens so that I can be near the front of the line (often the very first one...) at the Skagit River Ranch booth. You have to be there early if you want to insure that you will be able to buy what are undoubtedly the best eggs on the planet.
One major benefit that has come from this practice, which I did not anticipate ahead of time, was all the great people I have met and the amazing conversations I have had with the other people who also come out early. It seems that most people who shop at Skagit River Ranch's booth are interested in good food, cooking and being healthy. One might think - what do they do arriving so much earlier than the market even opens? Well I will tell you... I have learned how to cook and prepare so many things. I have been encouraged to try new things at the various booths at the market and I have begun to connect with an amazing circle of people who are all drawn together because of the wonderful, tasty and nutritious products that the Skagit River Ranch people bring to us.
This unlooked for and yet important benefit is not to be minimized. To be known, to know others, to greet people each week, to share stories of food, of cooking, of life is something that is reminiscent of food shopping in the central market of a small European village and it is just another of the many blessings that has come into my life by shopping with Eiko, George, Nicole and all the good folks from SRR.
Thanks to you all for what you do and even more for how you do it. The world, my world, is a better place because of you. I look forward to a long and fruitful association with all of you.

chickens, and I thought I'd never taste their like again. Yours are that good

healthy without all kinds of bad drugs and butchering them humanely, because
I've got to tell you, they are the best-tasting chickens I've had since Grandma
died in 1967."

My experience with Skagit River Ranch organic beef was the first step in moving to a healthy, quality and organic diet. The taste is robust and the quality is 100% authentic – which is obvious with a quick walk around the ranch. “I had the neighbors over for dinner last night and made the beef I bought from you into a pot roast (with wine and potatoes, carrots, parsnips, Brussels sprouts). It was absolutely amazing. Tender, no fattiness at all. We all agreed that none of us had ever had pot roast that tasted that good. I got to tell the neighbors about your products and that I KNOW the people who produced this beef. This type of dining needs to become more common!
